Shielding Patient List Information

NHS England has generated a list of very vulnerable patients who need to be ‘shielded’ due to Covid-19. They have generated this list from hospital, GP and maternity data, this list is updated weekly.

Many patients are at higher risk of complications from Covid-19 infection due to underlying health conditions and should be following social distancing guidelines outlined by the Government, but not all high risk patients are on the government’s, very high risk ‘Shielding Patients List’.

If you think you have a condition which makes you extremely vulnerable or have received a letter from NHS England you are strongly advised to shield yourself, to reduce the chance of getting coronavirus (COVID-19) and follow the face-to-face distancing measures below.

If you have not received a letter but think you are vulnerable and fall into the ‘Shielded Patient List’ please go to the GOV.UK website and look under;

If you need help with your daily needs, while shielding, that family, friends or neighbours cannot offer, you can register for help on or call East Devon District Council Support Hub on 01395 571500
