Imperial Surgery has decided to stop doing cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen treatment). This is for a number of reasons and is in line with the majority of GP Practices.

There are more effective cream treatments for warts and sun damage (solar keratosis) which have less potential for side effects.

Potential skin cancers need to be removed by minor surgery with full analysis of the specimens. We can remove some larger moles which are troublesome and not cancerous but it is still important to have the specimens checked. This is not possible for cryotherapy.

Unfortunately we can no longer treat some smaller, harmless moles.

If you have any doubts about a mole, particularly one which is changing or growing, please see the doctor and we can assess if any treatment is needed.
